Get to know us: 10 questions for Partners Nashwa Azzam and Morgan Rosinia

  1. Favorite visa type?

Nashwa: My favorite visa type is the investor visa (E2). This visa allows for all different kinds of businesses and innovation in the US - ranging from bakeries, jewelries, law firms, real estate, medical devices, consulting and beyond. I love seeing people's dreams realized through their businesses. If you are a citizen of a country that maintains a treaty relationship with the US, and you are an entrepreneur or investor you may be able to establish a new business or purchase an existing business in the US under the E2 program.

Morgan: O1A and O1B, because it is not always as unattainable as people may think- while you do need to be qualified and it doesn’t apply to just anyone, the O visa is so flexible and personally it’s so much fun to get to know really talented people and learn about all sorts of different professions.

2. Best place in Israel to live/visit?

Nashwa: Jerusalem - where you can find a melting pot of religions and cultures in one city. The food is delicious, the people are warm, and the streets are always bustling with loudness - at least this is how I want to remember Jerusalem.

Morgan: Raanana, hands down.  It’s like the small little town where you will always run into people you know, you can get anywhere in the city in under 10 minutes, and there are so many parks and playgrounds.

3. Most surprising thing about moving back to the US?

Nashwa: Trying to find myself again in the country I was born and raised in. I have to find my rhythm and routine all over again and even though the US was my home, I feel like it is all new to me - whether it is dealing with the bureaucratic system or trying to grocery shop with a million different options available.

Morgan: So much bureaucracy!  There is a form for everything!  It’s been surprising to me how hard it has been to adjust back to living in the US, especially after how hard it was to adjust to living in Israel.  Each place has its pros and cons and it’s so easy to have a grass is greener mentality no matter where you are but I’m trying to live in the moment and enjoy where I am now.

4. How many times a day do we talk to each other?

Nashwa: I would say at least once a day on the phone and texting and voice messaging throughout the day.

Morgan: At least three! There’s the check in call, the strategy call, the debrief call, and so on.

5. If you weren’t an attorney, what career might you be doing instead?

Nashwa: Food Critic - I love food and trying new and exciting flavors.

Morgan: Definitely oceanographer, I love all things marine science, waves and currents, and whales!  I was afraid of all the math and science in undergrad so never pursued this passion but a cool part of immigration law is getting to learn about other people’s careers so I get to get into some science from time to time this way.

6. What’s a book, podcast, or tv show that you’d recommend to others this year?

Nashwa: I don't have a favorite, but I do enjoy watching hallmark type shows - love the cheesy cozy vibes!

Morgan: The Thursday Murder Club Series- I want to be these people when I grow up!  I listen to the books on audio during runs and they are so funny and calming, despite being about murder.  The movie on Netflix was ok but the books are the best.

7. What’s a hobby or interest people might not expect from you?

Nashwa: Making up songs for my three-year-old; it's my magical way to get her to memorize things!

Morgan: Yoga and exercise in general, I did a yoga teacher training years ago and thought about becoming a yoga teacher before getting into law. I am very into weightlifting and working out.  It’s my stress relief, mental health break, and I consider it an investment in my future health.

8. What’s a food that you miss that you can’t get in the US?

Nashwa: My mother-in-law's "warak bil bandura" grape leaves in tomato sauce from the grape leaves off her land.

Morgan: Borekas!  I miss going to a bakery and getting hot, fresh borekas- the pizza kind are my favorite!

9. How would you describe your approach to working with clients?

Nashwa: My approach is to listen to what the client wants and doing my best to find a way to make that happen while also setting and managing realistic expectations. I build my relationships on honesty, trust and respect and ask that in return when dealing with my clients.

Morgan: I am very focused on customer service.  One of my first jobs was at Starbucks as a teenager and that customer is always right mentality was drilled into me.  I love providing people with fast, responsive, and compassionate service and I like to get to know my clients.

10. What is your vision for Azzam Rosinia Immigration LLC?

Nashwa: My vision is to help as many people across the globe manifest their dreams in the US through our immigration services. I come from a family of immigrants and understand the difficulty in navigating the immigration world - my vision is to be that helping hand to each one of our clients and when it is time to let go I can see them soar and thrive whether it is in their business or reuniting with their loved ones.
